Junior Aron Davis holds up his phone to capture a photo of his team before the Feb. 25, 2022, game against Emporia. Davis later played in the playoffs where the Vikings boys basketball team became the first team in SHS history to win a state title, beating DeSoto in the state championship 66-47.
Senior Tim Biggs and junior Aiden Florence flex their muscles towards the camera while preparing for the city meet on Jan. 27, 2022, at Hummer Sports Park. The Vikings swim team placed second overall at the meet, as well as placing second at league, with both Biggs and Florence qualifying for state.

Winter Sports Update
The Lady Vikes run to each other to celebrate after winning the Feb. 15, 2022, game against the Topeka High Trojans 50-42. The Vikings stole the undefeated title from the Trojans, who were 16-0 coming into this game.
