Seaman Students Natalie Brodine and Jeremy Wells found out today that they won 2nd place in the Lowell Milken Discovery Award. They won a grand prize of $2,000 for their documentary on Eugene Lazowski.
Lazowski was a doctor during World War II who created a phony typhus virus in order to save the lives of over 8,000 polish jews.
Mrs. Susan Sittenauer said, “Natalie and Jeremy created such a high quality documentary about an extraordinary person whose story deserves to be told. I am extremely proud of all of the revisions and efforts that they put in to create this documentary and win this fantastic award.”
