Classes disrupted after dirt bike races through SHS halls

On Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, Seaman High School students and faculty were met with an unexpected soft lockdown after a mini dirt bike raced through the halls of the school.

At the start of fifth hour classes, a mini dirt bike to flew down the halls of the school, disrupting classes and placing the students and staff into a soft lockdown at around 11:10 a.m.

After clearing the school the soft lockdown was dismissed at 11:27 a.m., and students were allowed to attend lunch as scheduled.

The unidentified biker is believed to have let into the school by a student.

Currently, the Seaman District is investigating the situation, seeing this act as a threat to the safety of the students and faculty of Seaman High School. The district has stated that they will give the proper disciplinary measures as needed for a situation like this.

No injuries were reported.
