Strong storms possible tonight

Labor Day is looking warmer

Strong+storms+possible+tonight

Heat and humidity return today with high temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90 and dew points in the mid 70s, which will result in heat indices in the upper 90s to near 100 this afternoon.

The daytime hours should be dry with just a slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm. After sunset, however, widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely. Some storms could produce high wind gusts and excessive rainfall.

A few showers could linger into early Friday morning, but most of the day will likely end up being dry.

Another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms is possible Friday night into Saturday, but severe weather is not expected.

The rest of Labor Day Weekend is looking drier with high temperatures warming into the 80s Sunday and Monday.

Enjoy your extended weekend!
