The girls tennis team has had a very successful season. With the struggles of COVID-19 they were still able to pull through and compete to the best of their abilities.

“This was one of the most successful tennis teams the school has ever had. These girls accomplished feats that no tennis team in Seaman history has,” says Andrew Gill, the head coach of the Tennis team. Regional champions Elise Schreiner, Grace Unruh, and Lauren Sweeney were very confident when they attended the state meet on October 16th and 17th at Andover Central High School, where Grace and Lauren earned a fourth place finish in doubles. “We are never worried about our opponents or outcomes. Losing is a part of tennis and all sports. If we approach every match with the intention to play our best tennis, the results will come.” The girls are looking forward to next season and defending their city title. They wish to repeat as City champs and earn Seaman’s first Regional team title in tennis. My number one goal is always improvement; to play better than we did in our last match, or in this case last season – regardless of the hardware we win.”

Girls tennis has had much success this season, and hope to continue their success for seasons to come.
