Skyler Price kicks off soccer career at Ottawa University

Skyler Price, a senior at Seaman High, signed his letter of intent to play soccer at Ottawa University on Friday, February 21, 2020.

Price has been playing soccer since he was three years old, and has been planning for both his athletic and academic future as he has journeyed through high school.

He stated that he wants to continue to play soccer at the collegiate level, “because I’ve played for so long and I like it so much that I can’t imagine stopping any time soon.”

Although the decision to continue his soccer career was an easy one for Price, he debated between two schools over the course of a few months. Ultimately, Price chose Ottawa due to the coaching staff and players.

Price says he is looking forward to “the traveling and the new level of competitiveness.”

As of now, Price plans to major in Sports Management, with hopes of becoming a head soccer coach some day.

While in high school, Price played for the BVB Academy club soccer team, where he says he was exposed to a very ‘competitive scene’. His high school seasons allowed him to play in front of a lot of college coaches, giving him the opportunity to play at the next level.

Good luck to Skyler Price as he continues his athletic and academic career at Ottawa University!
