After the dreaded hour and a half long drive to the girls and boys basketball teams were ready to fight for a win on Tuesday night. 

The girls started off slow, racking up a few points. Junction City kept up the energy as the score remained within just a few points the first three quarters. Shooting was not a strong point for the Lady Vikings in the first half, but picked up a bit by the third quarter, increasing the lead heading into the fourth quarter.

The Lady Vikes ended the game with a win 54-36 over Junction City making their record 6-0. 

Their next game is Friday at home against Hayden. 

The boys team put up a fight with the Junction City Bluejays during their game. A higher number of fouls against sent the boys to the line helping to keep the score close. 

A slam dunk by the Bluejays shook the Vikes, but they kept the score close throughout the second quarter. 

Towards the end of the game, the Bluejays took control and played a defense stopping the Vikes from advancing ahead. 

Ending with a 14 point loss, the boys record stands at  0-6. They play against Hayden at home on Friday.
