Mild conditions for Christmas

The snowstorm produced and resulted in one last snow day this decade. Billard Airport officially reported 4.4″ on Sunday and 0.1″ yesterday, bringing the storm total to 4.5″. That is the second most snowfall from a single storm since February 2014! We are now 2.6″ above average for the season.

Tranquil conditions look to return for the rest of the week with no significant precipitation chances and warmer temperatures. Highs should be stuck in the 30s and 40s this school week thanks to the snow cover. However, 50s are on track to return by Sunday. There will also be above average sunshine over the next seven days.

An early holiday outlook features high temperatures in the 50s for Christmas Eve and the 40s on Christmas Day. It is too early to tell whether or not there will be any precipitation.

Much colder conditions are likely to arrive in the days leading up to the New Year with a possible winter storm.

Have a great week and good luck with finals!
