Freeze warning tonight

Pleasant conditions this weekend

30s in the morning and 60s during the afternoon

A strong cold front arrived yesterday afternoon, and temperatures have been falling ever since. Despite mostly sunny skies today, wind chills in the 20s this morning will recover to only the low 40s this afternoon.

A freeze warning is in effect from 11:00 PM tonight to 9:00 AM tomorrow, as temperatures are expected to fall into the low 30s by tomorrow morning. A fairly light wind should aid in the development of at least scattered frost. In order to extend the growing season, be sure to cover up any plants with blankets before bed tonight.

With sunny skies tomorrow, we will warm up quickly. Temperatures are expected to break into the 50s by 10:00 AM with highs in the mid 60s tomorrow afternoon. Sunday will once again start off chilly, but temperatures are expected to return to the 60s during the afternoon with continued sunshine.

Overall, the next seven days are looking quite typical for the middle of October with highs generally in the 60s and an abundance of sunshine.

Have a great weekend!
