One more very warm day
Big changes arrive Wednesday
After temperatures averaged 7.9° above normal for the month of September, very warm conditions look to continue into the first day of October. Highs are expected to reach the mid to upper 80s today under partly cloudy skies.
A stray storm cannot be ruled out late this afternoon, but better chances for widespread showers and thunderstorms arrive after sunset. There is a slight risk of severe weather, but locally heavy rainfall is the primary threat.
Periods of precipitation will continue all the way into Wednesday evening before our temperatures drop into the low to mid 50s by Thursday morning. Highs will only reach the mid 60s Thursday and Friday.
An early look at the weekend forecast shows a chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday into Saturday.
Have a great week!
