Screen Shot 2017-01-30 at 10.01.19 AMAre you ready to take the plunge? SHS principal, Mr. Mike Monaghan and Superintendent Dr. Steve Noble are ready. They have accepted the challenge given to us by Washburn Rural.

The Polar Plunge will be at Lake Shawnee. Festivities start at 11 a.m. on Feb. 4 with the Polar Plunge Strut. After the strut will be the plunge at noon.

The Polar Plunge challenge was created in an effort to raise funds for the new Vikings United program. They ask for your support in raising money. Donations can be made to the Vikings United group at:

Vikings United is a school-based Special Olympics program. This program was started in order to bring together students with and without disabilities. The Vikings United group practices together every Tuesday after school and goes to competitions on Sundays.
