Student winners in Martin Luther King, Jr. competitions across the city were recognized Monday. Essay winners were: Kyser Dougan, 10, first place with “Candidate Promoters Peace and Justice”; Jacob Wildeman, 10, second place with “The Mother of Peace”; and Adam Schultz, 9, third place with “From Followers to Leaders.”
Seaman also had several art winners. Grayson Seavers, 9, took second place in the 9-10 division with her work, “Be the Change you want to see in the world.” In the 11-12 grade division, Hayley Woodyard, 11, won first place with her work “Leaders.” James Perry, 11, won second place with his art, “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.”
